What a fantastic CARTESIAN investigator meeting today! investigating #vascularageing in #COVID19 survivors with scientists from all over the world! Thanks @ArterySociety and @VascAgeNet ❤️ Stay tuned for the first results – first data are currently analyzed!
Congratulations to Saverio Fabbri and host institution @parcc_inserm on the initiation of the first VascAgeNet short term scientific mission, investigating #vascularageing in #COVID19 for the #CARTESIANStudy. @VascAgeNet is proud to collaborate with @ArterySociety for the #CARTESIAN study. Donate to this important #COVID19 research here: http://arterysociety.org #longcovid #research #donate DONATE NOW: COVID-19 can severely affect the blood vessels, leading to death or life-threatening complications. The global #CARTESIAN study is investigating the medium and long-term vascular damage of #COVID19.
The British Ambassador Robert Leigh Turner (British Ambassador and permanent representative at the United Nations in Vienna) visited the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and showed great interest in the CARTESIAN study launched by the Artery Society in collaboration with VascAgeNet. Also featured in the COST newsletter is an interview by the COST conversations featuring VascAgeNet Chair Christopher C. Mayer and WG4 leader Rosa Maria Bruno. They discuss how both the network and the CARTESIAN study were initiated and how this multidisciplinary network are now working together to investigate the vascular consequences of COVID-19. On Tuesday 19/05/2020, we had a very interesting information session on the CARTESIAN (Covid-19 ARTErial Stiffness and vascular AgiNg) Study. Rosa Maria Bruno, who is one of the principal investigators of the study, presented the collaborative, multicentre research project in order to explore medium- and long-term vascular consequences of COVID-19. The CARTESIAN is currently launched by the Artery Society, with the support of our COST Action VascAgeNet. The presentation can
