Final Workshop and WG Meeting in Riga, Latvia
The final VascAgeNet Workshop and WG Meeting was a big success! Thanks to all 50 participants to come to our final meeting in Riga, Latvia at the Riga Stradins University. We had 41 great talks about presenting our achievements from the last 4.5 years (e.g., publications, outcomes from STSMs, ongoing activities) and three very fruitful sessions to plan and discuss future activities in the new VascAgeNet WGs under the umbrella of the Artery Society.
Besides scientific exchange and discussions, there was plenty of time for social interaction and enjoying the lovely city of Riga! Thanks to the local organizers for organizing a great side program including a visit to the sea, a guided city tour, the concerto picolo in the dom cathedral, the opera Faust in the Latvian National Opera, a guided visit to the Museum Anatomiae and a gala dinner.
